by R. Thanks. It's annoying!I will call Apple tomorrow. As of now, Process Monitor reports that zero processes are accessing my HDD.

The drive is very speedy and that I have no performance issues; can hear and feel slight drone of this drive but does not bother me.However, I've got the same issue I am running W8 Pro x64 RTM from Technet.
