Freezes constantly when trying to log back in after screen saver was running. 1st began when trying to download and install iTunes. Windows Vista users still receive customer support and their are patches available for download from Microsoft's website that will improve reliability and reduce freezing. All lights on the mouse and keyboard turn off, the sound turns off, the picture on the monitor freezes, etc. Is Ultimate OS which makes it freeze?

Only Norton has been disabled. The lockups stopped altogether after that. I did set up a system monitor on my CPU, Disk, Memory, and Network when I had the problem.
