Does the CD spin up again? How long does it take for dbans boot and nook to clear the drive? Disconnect any other hard drives and try it again. Disk works fine in usb hard disk enclosure. You may not see anything until Windows loads (the opposite problem as when using the new card). I'm glad you found the solution. I had a bit of a panic attack earlier because when I turned the PC on and let it run for a few minutes then tried to reboot it, it wouldn't So...

Is the CD clean, unscratched, etc.? I didn't think the setup CD really cared what partitions were on the drive BEFORE it even gets to the "partition management screen".
